Taken on my iPhone at the beginning of my daily 1 hour walk
(this is hopefully the first of 365 iPhone photos that I have tasked myself in taking over the next year, I hope I can keep it up, I feel its a challenge that I need)
Taken with my Lensbaby composer, it was a hot dry day, usually this spot is cold and wet and all the colours of the plants and brick work just pop out, today the colours were very washed out and colourless, so I decided to convert the image using Silver Efex Pro.
Spring storm clouds over Cronulla Beach.
Pays to have some time off work, but would you go swimming in this?
As always before I go home I drove down to the beach as the sky was getting very dark over the ocean and it look like rain, when I got out of my car I couldnt believe the cloud formations, looked like there could have been an Alien spaceship up above the clouds.
Only a little Photoshop was used here just in case you think the cloud formation was not as it is here, a little Vignetting and my watermark, that's it.
A handful of change and this Aboriginal homless guy was happy for me to take a few photo's of him, his mate Rusty, was another story, all he would let me take a photo of was his hat.
Sydney's second dust storm in a week hit Sydney today, Saturday 26th September 2009, it wasn't as bright and colourful as last Wednesdays, but it was still spectacular.
went to Sydney Harbour for Saturdays forecasted 2nd dust storm this week with fellow Sutherland Shire flickr members, Alison, Ray and newbie Paul. It was not as colourful as last Wednesdays surprise Red Dust storm, but we all made the most of the conditions and location by later going into Kings Cross for a little street photography, great morning had by all.
Taken on my iPhone 3g while out walking this afternoon, 9 frames and stitched together on my iPhone using "AutoStitch", and posted here to Flickr from the location, isn't technology great.

The title of this image actually came from these four swimmers, thats what they wanted it to be called. These old diggers were on their way for a daily swim in the 16 degree ocean, and kindly let me take a few photos for my collection.

An old abandoned house on the edge of the Royal National Park south of Sydney
Over the past 4 weeks my 12 year old daughter has been hand feeding these colourful Australian native wild Lorikeet's, they visit us every morning and every afternoon.
While down the south coast on Saturday morning with Justin and Jason from The Sutherland Shire Flickr group, we meet this old bloke swimming in the 15 degree tidal pool. His first lap in the pool was hillarious, every time he raised his head to breath he let out a scream of agony from the cold water, yet when he got out of the pool after 15 minutes of swimming he claimed the water was warmer than outside, I still don't believe him.
A series if 17 portrait frames taken on my D90 and Tokina 11-16mm lens, minimal processing in Lightroom, and stitched together in Photoshop CS3.
hought I would try taking some photo's of the moon rising over the ocean last night. I found it very difficult to get the scene in focus, guess my bad eyesight didn't help.
14m plunge: man falls off cliff
February 15, 2009
A 70-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital suffering hypothermia after spending the night at the bottom of a southern Sydney cliff following a 14-metre fall.
The man spent the night on the rocks at the bottom of Cronulla Point, at the southern end of the beach, after falling 14 metres from the top of the cliff sometime on Saturday night.
A passer-by alerted emergency services just before 7am (AEDT) on Sunday.
The man had fallen from the cliff walk known as The Esplanade, near the intersection with Elizabeth Place.
"He's fallen down there sometime during the night," an ambulance spokesman said.
"We're not sure of the circumstances but, obviously, a bystander has called us after hearing him calling, and they've called us.
"We've found him in a fairly confused and semi-conscious state."
The man is now in St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition, suffering hypothermia.
It was not yet known if he suffered other injuries as a result of the fall, the ambulance spokesman said.
(I was down at the beach on Sunday morning taking photos at the rock pools in the background, as I was leaving to go home I heard sirens and decided to investigate, I started walking around the rocks and was told to go away and dont take any photo's, so as this went against my grain I decided to change locations and start taking photo's. I met up with a guy some 20 minutes later who claimed to be a pro from the "Daily Telegraph", I offered some of my photo's to him. He proceeded to copy my photo's to his portable hard drive and then delete my photo's from my card, oops, so most of the photo's I took that morning were deleted from my card, he does however have a copy that I now need to go and pick up from him)
Series of 5 photo's taken with my new Iphone 3g then put into Photoshop CS3 photomerge, thats it. I reckon it turned out pretty good for a camera phone.
Taken with my new Lensbaby Composer lens, for those among us who don't know what that is, its a selective focusing lens that is meant to give the blurry our of focus look around the focusing point.
Finally took delivery of my new Lens Baby Composer today, so I thought I would test it out at my favourite piece of architecture in Sydney.

Arrived to take photo's this morning at Monterey, just south of Sydney, forgot my tripod mount so I had to make do with m Lensbaby composer set at F2 and hand held.
While sitting down having coffee on Saturday morning after getting together for another Flickr meet up with The Sutherland Shire Flickr Group this old bloke sat on a bench near us looking like death warmed up, sucking on his cancer sticks, infecting us with his smoke, why do people do this? He is digging his own grave.
